Club vs club. Real teams. One Cup.

The Malaysia Pickleball Interclub Cup — where clubs field a full squad, play a structured round-robin across skill divisions, and settle it with a Dreambreaker decider. Not a ladder. A team contest.

What is MPIC

Built around clubs, not individuals

Most pickleball events are open ladders. MPIC is different: clubs put a squad on the line and play as one team, so the result belongs to the whole community.

A team, not a bracket

Each club fields 12 players across women’s, mixed and men’s doubles. Every game feeds one team score.

Two skill divisions

Players split by DUPR into a Charger group (≤3.0) and a Power group (>3.0), so all levels get competitive games.

Decided by a Dreambreaker

If it’s close after the round-robin, a live rotating-line-up finale can swing the whole Cup in one game.

The format

How the Cup is played

2Clubs head-to-head
12Players per squad
2Divisions
7Categories (1 WD · 3 XD · 3 MD)

Club members only — no imported or professional players. Every squad is drawn from a club’s own roster. MPIC is about a community fighting for its name and its legacy, not a result bought with hired ringers.

Squad & categories

12 players: 3 women, 9 men. Women play WD + XD; men play one category. Each team fills 1 WD, 3 XD, 3 MD.

Round-robin play

Every pairing meets every opposing pairing. Games to 15, serve to win. Two courts per division, in parallel.

Scoring

Win beats loss, but a loss still scores. Champion = highest total league points, not the biggest spread.

The Dreambreaker

A decider played to 40 with a rotating line-up, weighted to erase a close deficit — alive to the last ball.
